Rory Latham
Business Manager
New Haven, CT | Yale University ‘25+1
Rory is delighted to be with the Hyannis Sound family for his second summer! He is 21 years old and from New Haven, CT where he’s lived his whole life. Rory just finished his junior year at Yale University where he’s studying history with a focus in empires and colonialism.
Ever since he can remember, Rory has been singing at church and school. At age 8 he joined Trinity Church on the Green’s Choir of Men and Boys where he received formal musical and vocal training for 7 years. Rory got his first taste of singing a cappella while in high school where he sang with a group called The Maiyeros. He also studied the bagpipes and a little bit of guitar during his childhood.
At school, he’s sung with the Yale Glee Club and Yale Repertory Chorus, performed with the Yale Artists Caberet, and dabbled in musical theater, opera, and art song. He also just finished his time in his underclassmen a cappella group, the Yale Alley Cats, where he was the business manager during his sophomore year. Starting this fall, Rory will take the year off from school to travel the world and sing with the Yale Whiffenpoofs!
When he’s not singing, Rory enjoys traveling, running, attending friends’ performances, and keeping up with all of the latest Star Wars content.
Rory would like to thank his family, friends, and teachers for supporting him in his musical endeavors through the years. He’s thrilled to continue to make amazing music and memories with the Hyannis Sound this summer!
